Doctors and Nurses need Patient Care Technicians (PCT) to assist with the day-to-day care patients require; in a variety of settings. PCTs provide hands-on assistance to serve patients’ basic needs, which often impacts the lives of their patients and their patients’ families. As a PCT, you will obtain basic training as a nursing assitant, phlebotomist and EKG technician.
You may be able to perform some or all of the following tasks:
- Provide basic patient care — bathing, feeding, catheter care, etc.
- Perform safety checks and ensure cleanliness in patient rooms
- Monitor Vital Signs
- Perform EKG readings
- Perform phlebotomy procedures
Upon completion of PCT program you can take:
- State of MI CNA exam thru Headmaster. Additional cost of $175
- Phlebotomy Exam through NCCT or NHA (*Please note a HS diploma or GED is required to be eligible to take either exam)
- PCT National Exam through NCCT or NHA (HS diploma or GED required to take exam)
$1200 holds your seat; Balance due on or before 1st day of class.
*$125 reg/IT/Lab, is additional and non-refundable fee.
