Doctors and Nurses need Patient Care Technicians (PCT) to assist with the day-to-day care patients require. PCTs provide hands-on assistance to serve patients’ basic needs, which often impacts the lives of their patients and their patients’ families. As a PCT, you may be able to perform some or all of the following tasks:
- Provide basic patient care — bathing, feeding, catheter care, etc.(CNA Class)
- Perform safety checks and ensure cleanliness in patient rooms
- Obtain EKG readings and monitor vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy procedures
- Provide emotional support to patients and families coping with grief and death
Upon completion of PCT program you can sit for:
- CNA State Exam through Headmaster – Cost is $175
- Phlebotomy National Exam through NCCT or NHA
- PCT National Exam through NCCT or NHA
$600 holds your seat; Balance due on or before 1st day of class.
