Things have expanded at Covenant Academy in 2024. As we enter 2025; we are proud to continue with the newest programs; CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) , PCT (Patient Care Technician) and the Phlebotomy classes. These added programs will give you more options in the healthcare field.
There is a Nursing Assistant, critical shortage in Michigan. As a CNA you can work in Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Home Health Care, and many are starting to work in hospitals.
The Medical Assistant: The demand is growing due to the influx of Urgent Care Centers and Physician offices in the metropolitan area.
The Phlebotomy Technician: They are in high demand now. With the opening of several Labs and Blood donor centers.
The Patient Care Technician: The PCT demand is growing and jobs are plentiful in Hospitals, Doctors Offices, Urgent Care Centers and OutPatient Surgical Centers!

C.N.A. – Our Signature C.N.A (Nursing Assistant ) – 2-week day classes; Mon. – Fri. and 4 week Evening classes (T & TH). Saturday classes are online with hands on in classroom (7-weeks) – *Saturdays only is a premium class. Upon successful completion of the course, you are eligible to take the Michigan C.N.A. Exam administered by Headmaster.
C.M.A. Medical Assistant course is Tuesday & Thursday for 12 weeks, plus a (2) week Externship in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant program covers: Phlebotomy, EKG, Coding, Billing, Medications, Injections, Communication and Front Office procedures. Upon successful completion of the MA course and externship, you will be eligible to sit for the National Certification for Medical Assistants, EKG and Coding/Billing through NHA or NCCT.
PHLEBOTOMY – This exciting hybrid (6) week class is online with hands on (2) weeks in the lab. Phlebotomist are in high demand now. Upon completion you can sit for the NCCT or NHA National exam. Start your exciting career now.
PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN CLASS: One of our most requested classes next to the C.N.A. This 8-week program is in high demand. Class includes Nursing Assistant (CNA), EKG, and Phlebotomy. PCT course offered in winter and fall only. (Winter Classes in January, February, and March and Fall classes in September and October)
CNA REFRESHER COURSE – Our most sought after 2 – hour, (1:1) preparation class, is among the best and just got better. CNA Skills Study Guide is an added bonus to ensure you pass the State Exam on the first round. This prep class requires purchase of ebook from Amazon; Simply Skills Study Guide.
